entering their first year of post-secondary studies in Canada.
It includes both school-administered and private awards.

Graduate Office's Scholarship Database
Searchable database of undergraduate scholarships, graduate
fellowships, and post-doctoral opportunities, with a decidedly
Canadian emphasis.
SFU
Graduate Awards for Canadians
Contains a database of Canadian graduate and postdoctoral
fellowships, compiled by Simon Fraser University.
Scholarships
and Bursaries from the Canadian Government
This site provides information on scholarships for Canadian
students who wish to study abroad and for international students
who wish to study in Canada.
AMMSA:
Scholarships for Aboriginal Students
AMMSA publishes a guide to scholarships and bursaries for
aboriginal students. The guide currently lists more than 375
scholarships and bursaries.
Books
Canadian Guidance Services
Canadian Guidance Services publishes a 250-page book of scholarships
and awards intended for Canadian high school students entering
Canadian universities. The book is revised every two years
and is now in its 7th edition. The price is $19.95, plus $5
shipping and handling and $1.75 GST (total $26.70). For more

Major Scholarship Programs
Canada
Millennium Scholarship Foundation
The Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation focuses on assisting
Canadian students who demonstrate financial need and academic
merit.
Girl
Guides of Canada
Girl Guides of Canada offers two scholarship programs: The
Girl Guides of Canada Scholarships the the Roberta Bondar
Scholarship. Each scholarship offers $1,500. For more information,

TD
Canada Trust Scholarships
The TD Canada Trust Scholarships for Community Leadership
provide $10,000 per year for tuition and $5,000 per year for
living expenses for up to four years (total $60,000).

Canadian
Higher Education Loan Program (CanHELP)
CanHELP is an alternative loan program for Canadian students
to study in US colleges and universities. The loans are offered
by the International Education Finance Corporation (IEFC)
working in conjunction with the Bank of Boston and The Education
Resources Institute (TERI).

Massachusetts
Educational Financing Authority (MEFA)
MEFA offers Programs for International Students in Massachusetts
(PRISM), a low-interest loan program for students from Canada
or Argentina attending one of 65 participating schools in
Massachusetts. Canadian students may borrow up to the full
cost of education. A US cosigner is not required.

Loans from the Canadian Ministry of
Skills, Training and Labour
If you're a Canadian student attending college in the US,
you may obtain a loan through the Canadian government's Ministry
of Skills, Training and Labour. You should contact a Canadian
lender, the appropriate Ministry office in their province,
or Human Resources Development Canada in Ottawa.

NSERC is the Canadian equivalent of the United State's National
Science Foundation (NSF). Its programs include grants and
scholarships.
